The so-called Ring of Death on the XKAH Pro describes an issue where the device flashes or lights up red when starting and no longer boots normally. This error is often confused with the Caution Hot warning. While a real Ring of Death usually points to a defect, the Caution Hot warning can also be caused by dirty or poorly seated contacts in the upper area.

Check whether only a red ring appears on startup and the device no longer boots at all.

Carefully clean the rubber lip and the area around the contacts.

Make sure the rubber lip is clean, seated correctly and the XKAH Pro is properly closed.

Restart the device and check whether preheat mode starts again.

If the XKAH Pro still only flashes or lights up red and does not boot, it is probably defective.
