When can I smoke hookah in the UK?
The smoking of hookah tobacco and other tobacco products is now set at an age of 18 throughout the UK.
This can be found in the following laws:
England and Wales: Children and Young Persons (Sale of Tobacco etc.) Order 2007.
Scotland: Tobacco and Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Act 2010.
Northern Ireland: Children and Young Persons (Sale of Tobacco etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008.
In addition, smoking is generally prohibited at work, in cars with minors and in enclosed public spaces.
