Description:

The ONMO HMD Stainless Steel is the stainless steel version of the well-known ONMO smokebox and is made for smokers who want more heat power, more material feel and more control. Stainless steel stores heat more intensely than aluminum and releases it for longer. That makes this HMD noticeably hotter and especially interesting for juicy tobacco, stronger setups and longer sessions.

This product combines both versions: Classic and Flat. Both are made from stainless steel, hold up to two 27 mm coals and feature a removable screw-out bottom. The main difference is the bottom design and how the heat reaches the tobacco.

ONMO Stainless Steel Classic

The Classic version stays closer to the original ONMO HMD. It uses the familiar bar-style bottom design and feels more familiar if you already know the regular ONMO. With the stainless steel construction, however, you get more heat reserve and a heavier, more solid feel.

Classic is the right choice if you enjoy the original ONMO smoking style but want a stronger stainless steel version. The heat feels powerful, stable and direct. It works especially well with setups that can handle a bit more temperature.

ONMO Stainless Steel Flat

The Flat version intentionally removes the bar-style bottom design. Instead, it uses a smoother bottom surface, which can create a different heat distribution depending on your bowl packing. This is especially interesting if you want to reduce hot spots or smoke more sensitive setups.

Flat is not simply better than Classic - it is different. While Classic stays closer to the original ONMO feel, Flat feels more modern and controlled. Since stainless steel already stores a lot of heat, the smooth bottom can be a very useful option for more precise heat behavior.

Classic or Flat - which one should you choose?

If you want to stay as close as possible to the classic ONMO HMD experience, go with Classic. You get the familiar shape, but with more weight, more heat and easier cleaning thanks to the removable bottom.

If you like experimenting with bowl packing, heat distribution and different tobacco styles, Flat is probably the more interesting choice. The smooth bottom can help bring heat to the tobacco in a different way and may give you more control over direct heat spots.

Important: stainless steel HMDs should be used more carefully than lightweight aluminum smokeboxes. Start with a little less heat, adjust your coal position and find the setup that works best for your bowl and tobacco.
