The Kaloud Vestara is built as a more substantial alternative to the thin charcoal tongs included with many hookahs. Its body is made from machined aluminum with solid wood grip sections. Opening and closing are handled by a spring-loaded mechanism, so the tongs do not depend on the flexibility of a narrow piece of sheet metal.
The wide jaws make contact with a coal cube at several points, giving you more control when moving fully lit natural charcoal from a burner, loading a Kaloud Lotus or another HMD, and rotating coals during a session. At approximately 17.9 cm long and 110 g, the Vestara remains easy to maneuver while feeling more substantial than basic tongs. The front metal section can become hot during use and should always be placed on a heat-resistant surface.
