Modern and quality hookahs are often made of stainless steel, stainless steel has the advantage that it is very resistant to corrosion and barely absorbs the taste of the used shisha, which means that after smoking, simply rinsing the hookah with water is sufficient. Stainless steel is a very hard material, which is very durable and scratch resistant. However, stainless steel pipes have the disadvantage that they are usually slightly more expensive than e.g. hookahs made of aluminum.
